Mars™High-NRC and Mars™ Healthcare High-NRC Acoustical Ceiling Panels are manufactured using a unique process that maximizes sound and anti-sag performance, producing excellent noise reduction coefficient and solid ceiling attenuation class (CAC) performance. The wet-formed mineral fiber family of products consists of a latex/starch-bound mineral wool basemat optionally laminated with a non-woven veil. These products generally fall under ASTM E1264 Section 5.2 designation as Type III—Mineral base with membrane-faced overlay or 5.2.11 Type XI—Mineral base with fabric-faced overlay.
