EPD: Aluminium shutter, 15.6 kg/m2, PERSIANA (Metra)

The shutters are made with profiles from the PERSIANA METRA system. The profiles are made of aluminium alloy EN AW 6060 (EN 573-3 and EN 755-2) with temper designation T5 according to UNI EN 515, extruded in compliance with the tolerances according to EN 12020-2. The requested system allows the construction of sliding shutters without perimeter frame and with one or more sliding sashes in light or outside the wall. The profiles are coated with polyester powder paint. The uniformity of the section, the coplanarity of the angles and the strength of the connecting joints (at 45° or 90°) between the horizontal and vertical profiles are ensured by the use of support and alignment corner cleats, both on the outside and inside of the profiles, made of extruded aluminium alloy, glued with two-component glue and blocked by means of plugging and/or crimping. The contact points between the profiles are suitably sealed and protected to prevent possible air and water infiltration and corrosion. The operation of the shutter is ensured by a carriage sliding in a guide on which the shutters are hung. The lower part of the sash is guided by a pin fixed to the floor, the base of which slides into the lower part of the frame.
