Dal-Tile brands of ceramic tile are a mixture of multiple mineral-based natural materials, that can include various combinations of clay, sand, feldspar, talc, nepheline, shale and/or others. The tiles are either pressed or extruded into the desired shape and generally receive a glaze or ceramic ink application to the surface prior to being fired in kilns at high temperatures. The finished product, ceramic or porcelain tile, is fire resistant, non-combustible, durable (lasts a lifetime) and extremely easy to maintain.
