EPD: Electrically operated rapid roll door, 4300x4300 - 6000x6000mm, 3 mm plastic door leaf, 3000 g/m2, Novo Speed Heavy (Novoferm)
The Novo Speed Heavy is an electrically operated door, without balance springs. The door leaf is made of horizontal sections of 3 mm thick polyester-reinforced plastic, available in RAL 1021 / 2002 / 5010 / 7023. The sections are interconnected by heavy-duty aluminium stiffener/hinge profiles. The door leaf has a transparent PVC (poly vinyl chloride) vision section between 1200 and 2200 mm height from the floor. The door curtain weighs 3000 g/m2. The horizontal roller is made of steel. An aluminium beam with rubber floor profile is attached at the bottom. A self-testing security within the bottom beam ensures that the door stops and immediately opens when during closing it encounters an obstacle. This security is insensitive to moisture. Doors exceeding 9 m2 are provided with a tensioning system for the door leaf. A U-shaped profile with brush seals ensures lateral guidance of the door leaf. The guidance profiles are composed of two regular galvanized steel profiles with brush seals. These are removable for quick and easy installation and maintenance. Operation: The door is driven by an electric motor with a control unit. Through a direct coupling of a roller with a gear unit, an opening speed of 1 m/s and a closing speed of 1 m/s can be achieved. Optionally a frequency converter can be ordered. Then the door opens with 1.5 m/s and closes with 0.5 m/s. Safety features: - In case of power failure, the door can be opened manually - Safety photocell in the door opening - Self-testing security opto-sensors in bottom beam - Break away function on bottom beam (option) Novo Speed Heavy is an electrically operated rapid roll door, suitable for outdoor use and high wind loads. When fitted behind a sectional door or roller shutter it creates a more pleasant working environment and saves energy. The door is specifically designed for outdoor situations in industrial and non-residential buildings.
