EPD: EPS insulation panels, L= 0.038 W/mK, R=1 m2K/W, 38 mm, 600 x 1200 mm, 0.57 kg/m2, 15 kg/m3, Jackopor Flamingo 80 Denmark (BEWI ASA, Insulation and Construction)

Expanded polystyrene (EPS) is a common material used for the thermal insulation of buildings, including floors, walls, and roofs. It is a polymer foam, consisting of air-filled polystyrene cells. As 98 percent of the material is air, EPS provides good insulating properties at a low weight. Other characteristics of the material include low moisture absorption, long service life, high compressive strength, and 100 percent recyclable. EPS is manufactured by permeating polystyrene beads with pentane, allowing them to expand when exposed to steam.
