EPD: High density fiberboard (HDF), lacquered, 2-6 mm, 2.43 kg/m2 (Kronospan Polska Sp. z o.o.)
High Density Fiberboard (HDF) is an engineered board produced from resin bonded wood fibers under high pressure and heat. HDF is a non-loadbearing product for interior use in dry conditions. HDF, due to its very fine surface, is suitable for different coatings – veneering, laminating, painting and varnishing. HDF board produced by Kronospan Szczecinek meets high quality requirements related to physical and chemical parameters of the product. Its unsanded surface, which is the result of production on modern calender lines, allows a significant reduction in the use of paints and varnishes in the refining process. This High Density Fibreboard coated with water-based and UV resistant lacquers is used primarily in the furniture industry as furniture backs and drawer bottoms, for the manufacture of interior doors, advertising boards and as interior design elements. Lacquered HDF is characterised by its increased resistance to scratching and mechanical impact through the use of a protective layer of UV clear varnish, as well as ease of maintenance and cleaning.
