USG Kitchen Lay-In Panels meet USDA/FSIS guidelines for use in food-processing areas and are a lightweight alternative to vinyl-covered gypsum. They offer high light reflectance and are washable and water repellent with a scratch and soil resistant finish. They come with a ClimaPlus™ 30-year limited system warranty against visible sag, mold, and mildew. This product utilizes a ground wet-felted basemat consisting of perlite, mineral wool, paper fiber and starch with varying levels of clay. The modifications typically involve modifications to the thickness, density, basemat composition and/or coating package.
