Marmoleum Decibel is a resilient floor covering complying with all the requirements of EN 686 Specification for plain and decorative linoleum on a foam backing. Marmoleum is made from natural raw materials making it a preferable ecological and durable floor covering with a beautiful stylish and colorful design. The key raw materials include linseed oil, which comes from the flax plant seeds, gum rosin from pine trees, recycled wood waste of wood from controlled forests, limestone and jute from the jute plant which is used for the woven backing. Marmoleum is produced by Forbo Flooring for more than 150 years and our wellknown Marmoleum brand is sold worldwide. This declaration refers to Marmoleum Decibel which provides a reduction of impact sound of ≥18 dB. It has a nominal thickness of 3.5mm and is available in a broad range of designs and colors from stock or Made to Order Real, Vivace, Fresco, Walton Cirrus, Piano, Cocoa, Concrete, Terra, Splash, Striato. Constructed from a Marmoleum sheet, laminated onto a 1 mm layer of polyolefin foam Marmoleum Decibel is built up in 4 layers. The top 3 layers form one homogeneous product by the crosslinking bonding formed during the oxidative curing process. The Marmoleum sheet is then laminated with an acoustic impact reducing, polyolefin foam layer. 1. Surface layer This layer gives Marmoleum its design and color. After finishing the product at the trimming department a factory finish Topshield pro is applied to protect the surface layer. 2. Intermediate layer This layer is calendared on the jute backing and contains reused and recycled Linoleum. 3. Backing The backing is woven jute. 4. Foam layer Polyolefin acoustic impact reducing foam The declaration refers to the declared functional unit of 1 sqm installed flooring product.
