USG Radar™ and Radar™ Firecode® Acoustical Panels are an economical, all-purpose ceiling pattern available in various panel sizes. The Firecode® product is designed to meet life-safety codes. This product utilizes a ground wet-felted basemat consisting of perlite, mineral wool, paper fiber and starch with varying levels of clay. This EPD includes Radar™ and Radar™ Firecode® Acoustical Panels produced at Greenville, MS. These products generally fall ASTM E1264-2022 Section 5.2 designation as Type III-Mineral Base with painted finish and ASTM E1264-2023 Section 5.2 designation as Type A1.2-Mineral Base with painted finish. The modifications typically involve modifications to the density, basemat composition and/or coating package.
