USG Aspen™ Basic and Aspen™ Basic Illusion™ Two/24 acoustical panels have a random, naturally sculptured appearance that offers an upscale look without the upscale cost. This product is available in sizes and performance that meets most design criteria and is suitable for general applications. Aspen™ Basic acoustical panels are a USDA Certified Biobased Product. These panels utilize a wet-felted basemat consisting of perlite, mineral wool, paper fiber and clay. These products generally fall under ASTM E1264-2022 Section 5.2 designation as Type III-Mineral Base with painted finish and ASTM E1264-2023 Section 5.2 designation as Type A1.2-Mineral Base with painted finish.
