The next evolution in attached cushion backed broadloom, Unibond Plus AIR offers substantial sound reduction and enhanced comfort under foot. Unibond Plus backing with attached cushion is designed for commercial applications where acoustic performance is important. As of 2022, all Mohawk Group flooring products will be carbon neutral plus an additional 5%. Unibond Plus AIR meets Mohawk Group’s commitment to Beyond Carbon Neutral. This study covers all products and styles with tufted nylon face fiber on Unibond Plus AIR backing, including standard tufted solution dyed yarns, precision-dye injection (PDI), and Definity/CYP. Due to a range of face weights offered with this product, an average face weight of 26 oz/yd2 (882 g/m2) was used, which is the average of the annual sales. Unless noted in the report, the average face weight is presented for the impacts.
