EcoFlex™ NXT AIR is a modular carpet tile consisting of a nylon face fiber tufted into a primary backing; precoated with an acrylate polymer to lock the tufts into place; back coated with polyolefin polymer and fiberglass scrim for stability; and a recycled PET non-woven as a secondary/attached cushion for added comfort under foot. This study covers all products and styles with nylon face fiber on EcoFlex Air backing. Due to a range of face weights offered with this product, an average face weight of 17.5 oz/yd2 (593 g/m2) was used, which is the average of the annual sales. Unless noted in the report, the average face weight is presented for the impacts.
