EPD: PUR insulation for floors, PVC and textile facing, L=0.045 W/mK, R=1.12 m2k/W, 50 mm, 12.17 kg/m2, Lambda=0.045 W/(m.K) (Isola)

Thermogran is an acoustic insulation material produced from polyurethane waste and covered with a Puratex foil, a 2 mm textile cloth that is sealed at the top with a PVC foil. The acoustic insulation properties of Thermogran are better than what guidelines prescribe1 (Results Bureau de Fonseco, 2017). Studies guarantee a sound reduction of minimum 25 dB which leads to increased acoustic comfort (WTCB result DE631XA649). This patented product is a dry granulate, developed out of polyurethane residues. A thorough recycling process of high quality polyurethane happens in Isola’s factory located in Tongeren. So Isola recycles and produces new materials that lead to lower energy consumption and increased acoustic comfort in the building. This is a specific EPD for PUR insulation from Isola NV. This product is used as insulation material for floors.
