This Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is for business to business communication. The product object of the EPD is a cost efficient unitized curtain wall, which combines minimal aesthetics with structural robustness. Its Structural Silicone Glazing construction offers maximum transparency at the external surface of the façade. Modular units, including glazing panes, are prefabricated in workshop conditions and this results in a fast and economic installation with minimum manpower and tooling requirements. This construction mode renders Μ78 an ideal system for high rise buildings, where meeting demanding deadlines is a prerequisite. The representative product is a double glazed curtain wall of 6 m high by 3,6 m wide as sketched in Figure 1.The calculated BoM considers 100% of the mass of the profiles located at the border of the representative product. EPD results have been calculated for one representative product, which is detailed in Table 1. There is no integration of operable windows in the representative product.
